Janis was born in Frankfurt, Germany and was raised in Wharton, Texas. Her husband joined the US Navy in 2012 and has travelled between PNW and South Carolina ever since. She now lives in Seabeck, Washington with her husband, dog and two sons.

She graduated from Olympic College with an Associate of Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her interests include hiking, video games, cooking, reading and spending time with her family. She enjoys working with people one on one to help them achieve their goals.
